Jack Wills - Relationship Manager for Education |

Jack is currently the Chair of the UK steering group of EPICT, the international teacher CPD qualification and the Honorary Vice President of the British Institute for Learning and Development (BILD). He is also a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language and is a regular speaker and chair at international educational and L&D conferences. Jack leads the educational business development team at MASS, where he specialises in educational systems integration and technology. He also leads the MASS initiatives on educator CPD events in the UK and our educational systems integration efforts in the Middle East. Jack Wills has been a Learning and Development (L&D) practitioner and specialist for over 30 years. He had a successful first career as an officer in the Army, where he finished his service teaching at the Army Staff College. In 1989 he left and founded what was to become the TADS Group, a successful Learning & Development technology group of companies. In 2006 he disposed of the Group and concentrated on consultancy in educational technology and other international Learning & Development projects. Jack is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a Fellow of the British Institute for Learning and Development (FBILD). |

Rob Allen - Education Resource Manager |

Rob Allen has been involved in educational ICT procurements for the past 10 years, working on contracts from third party maintenance through to full ICT solution design, installation and integration. He has worked throughout the country on contracts from Primary Schools to Universities and from Exeter to Scotland. Having successfully taken his previous company onto the framework for ICT maintenance for all UK Universities, Rob joined MASS in March 2011, bringing his knowledge and experience to the team. Rob now works alongside Doug Pell, liaising with the DfE, PfS and other educational bodies and ensuring that the proposals we supply educational establishments are fully compliant and give our best recommendations. |

| Doug Pell - DfE ICT Framework Manager | ||

Doug has been a Bid Manager with MASS for over 5 years. He managed the successfully bid for the North Lincolnshire BSF ICT Project together with the successful bid to become an ICT Services Provider under both Lots 1 and 2 of the Department for Education Framework. Doug works closely with his colleagues Rob Allen and Jack Wills, managing ICT bids into academies & schools, liaising with supply chain partners and government procurement agencies. Doug has been actively involved in education and training for over 30 years. In the early 1980’s he managed one of the earliest corporate Computer Based Training systems (Phoenix) for London Electricity and in that role was also Chairman of the Phoenix European User’s Association. In the late 1980’s he changed company and managed the development of some of the some of the first PC based e-learning products whilst still developing Computer Based Training for major corporate clients. During the 1990’s he became a project and bid manager for the training division of a major ICT services company. From the late 1990’s Doug focussed on bid management and became involved in large multi million consortia bids.Doug is a former School Governor and a retired Chair of Governors. | Paul Jackson - Education Programme Manager | ||

Paul has been a Principal Consultant and Technical Programme Manager with MASS, specialising in education ICT programmes since 2005. Pauls’ specific responsibilities relate to managing a complete range of educational IT projects, providing IT and information systems, technical support services and domain expertise. He has also acted as ‘customer friend’ on several educational technical projects identifying issues, providing advice, producing reports and briefing teams across all areas. Paul has delivered a number of customer-led and customer-focussed, managed and ad-hoc IT support services and systems migration projects in education. He is also responsible for physical and electronic Information Security. Paul has a BSc (Hons) in Computing and holds a PGCE which gives him a unique insight into Education ICT. |

| Pete Smith - Senior IT Project Manager for Education | ||

Pete Smith is the Senior IT Project Manager Education. In this role, Pete has been responsible for the delivery and management of educational technical projects within the Client IT Services arm of MASS since 2005. Pete’s role includes the management and implementation of projects in accordance with agreed timescales, costs, technical standards and quality requirements. Pete is currently the Project Manager for the BSF Project within North Lincolnshire. This includes seven Schools and two Data Centres (with a subsequent Managed Service). This project is valued at circa £13,000,000. Pete is a Prince2 Practitioner, ITIL Service Management and a Microsoft Certified Professional. |

| Andy Lipinski - Managed Services Director | ||

Andy is Managed Services Director at MASS, with a background in managing multidiscipline IT and communications infrastructure projects, particularly in the educational sector. Andy is currently responsible for the largest turnover element and growth area for the Company – IT Managed Services. Here he has put in place and maintained all the contracts used to interface with our educational partners. He is also responsible for the Company IT department and Information Security within the company. Andy’s previous roles have included: Operations Director at MASS, Product Development Manager and Contracts Manager at STC, technical and project management roles at ITT and ICL. Andy has a BSc (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering and is a Member of the Institute of Directors. |

| Paul Bainborrow - ICT Systems Architect for Education | ||

Paul Bainborrow has provided advice to MASS education projects for the development of support options and suitable technology since 2006. His role has included sourcing and evaluating suitable suppliers, developing business cases and strategy papers. Paul has project managed the delivery of several specialist support service projects within educational environments. He has also been responsible for financial modelling of IT support costs for a range of educational projects to demonstrate sustainability of the service; Paul has a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology, a BTEC in Computer programmingand is a Prince 2 Practitioner. |

| James Hudson - ICT Consultant for Education | ||

James has been a System Consultant for MASS since mid 2011. He initially assisted Doug, Jack and the Client IT Team with the successful bid for the Department for Education Framework (formally Becta). After this success, James role has involved designing technical solutions for schools, academies and colleges and he has additionally been involved in the delivery of numerous education solutions. Prior to MASS, James was the Technical Director for an ICT firm for 4 years. He helped grow the company by 300% over three years and was fundamental in winning a contract to implement a secure internet filtering solution for the “Looked after community”. The solutions coordination and roll out were managed by James over a 6 month period. James is a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Netasq Firewall Expert. |

| Collette Peters - Education Events Manager | ||

Collette Peters has had responsibility for external educational events at MASS since 2009. In this role, Collette takes specific responsibility for the provision and support of MASS education CPD events, several of which are held each year as part of the MASS educational CPD programme for School Leadership Teams, Network Managers and support staff. Collette’s wider responsibilities also include the management of MASS exhibition events and general marketing support functions. |

| Roger Collins - ICT Consultant for Education | ||

Roger has been providing educational client-facing technical consultancy in the MASS education team since 2005.In this role he takes the lead in the design and installation of communications and networking projects. He also has responsibility for forming and maintaining close partnerships with suppliers and partners. His responsibilities also include coordination with clients, suppliers and partners to ensure to successful project delivery. Roger is a Cisco educationalspecialist, focussing on LAN switching and routing, firewalls and wireless. |

| Jimmy White - Senior ICT Consultant for Education | ||

Jimmy has been with MASS since 2005 and brings a wide range of Senior Consultant skills to the team. Having studied electronics and computing, Jimmy worked on stage and computer controlled lighting, laser display systems, audio/video systems and assisted in the production of corporate videos for Coca Cola and Rank Leisure amongst others. He has also spent some time as a radio presenter! Jimmy has had experience of rolling out large laptop and server/desktop solutions in 22 countries, infrastructure and support for 2 international banks, large virtualisation projects for the MOD and the building of 2 data centres for North Lincolnshire Council. Jimmy is ITIL and Project Management Institute Certified, and holds several Microsoft Certifications. |

| Chelsea Rowley - Education Helpdesk Manager | ||

Chelsea is a member of the MASS internal ICT team. Like the rest of the IT team at MASS, Chelsea has a broad range of skills that she brings to the world of ICT in education. She also contributes to the content of the MASS in Education website and has responsibilities for researching new technologies as they come into mainstream education. Although a recent addition to the team, Chelsea has brought her wide ranging skills to the role of Helpdesk Manager for ICT Managed Services across our MASS education projects. This is a critical function that ensures continuity of service and general support across all of our educational ICT solutions in schools. |

| Kelly Howell - Personnel Manager | ||

Kelly joined MASS is 1998 and her main role is Personnel Officer. Kelly manages the entire personnel function at MASS which includes recruitment, training, performance management and managing the company benefit schemes. Kelly has also been involved in TUPE transfer discussions with educational ICT staff. Another part of Kelly’s role is Security Vetting Officer, where she is responsible for arranging CRB checks for all staff that work in the education field. Kelly is an Associate member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is currently studying for her CIPD Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management. |

Elliot joined the MASS team in mid-2010, Elliot has been integral in the design, development and ongoing support of the MASS in Education Website. Having designed and developed websites for many years, Elliot's creativity, skill and technical knowledge has allowed us to use many of the technologies we detail in our articles within our website. |
